It's in front of an all-female jury that Mr. Marc CHILLET presented his research to obtain his "Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR)". The jury consisted of Mrs Isabelle ANDRIANJOHANY, Professor, University of Antananarivo; Isabelle FOCK-BASTIDE, Lecturer, HDR, University of Reunion Island; Mrs Sabine GALINDO, Professor, University of Montpellier; Mrs Felicie LAURI LOPEZ, Lecturer, HDR, University of Avignon; Mrs Fabienne REMIZE, Professor, University of Reunion Island.

The presentation topics were "fruit quality development" and "Effects of biotic and abiotic stresses". The talk was structured in three parts, the first was devoted to the path of Mr. Marc CHILLET since his university studies until his position taken in CIRAD at Reunion Island. Anthracnose is the main postharvest disease of bananas and plantains was the subject of the second part and the study of the effect of foliar diseases of bananas as yellow Sigatoka and black Sigatoka, on fruit ripening held the third time of the presentation.

Marc CHILLET finished by presenting his research perspectives, emphasizing teamwork. This was followed by a session of questions/answers between the jury and Mr. Marc CHILLET. After a short deliberation, the jury decided unanimously to awarded him with his HDR.
