Title : DOMETSIP - Domestication of Tsiperifery lianas along protected areas in Madagascar

Objectives

• To improve the sustainability and the economic valuation of a threatened endemic species of Madagascar, the Tsiperifery wild pepper, for the benefit of the rural population
• To reduce anthropogenic pressure related to destructive harvesting practices in Madagascar's biodiversity conservation areas.

Activities

• To identify the determinants of the Tsiperifery sustainability and valorization
• To support the creation of 3 collective Tsiperifery valorization organizations and experience the culture of Tsiperifery
• To formulate the specifications for the registration of a quality collective mark
• To organize the National Conference of Tsiperifery in Madagascar
• To capitalize and communicate on the results of the project
